Our

STORY

Washington, DC is a meeting place of cultures and peoples from around the world.  As the nation's capital, it is a very exciting place to live, work, and explore.  Learning about one another is a favorite pastime of Washingtonians and guests to the District alike.  And, what better way to get to know someone than over some shared food - especially when the flavors spark memories of home or stories of adventures we have had.

Since

1989

As a young Catracho in rural Honduras, I watched my grandmother and great-aunts effortlessly pat tortillas, grind spices, boil beans and rice, or scramble an egg for baleadas - all while chatting away and catching up on village news.  Before you knew it, a meal was dished up and passed around - enough for everyone, and made with love.  I hope to cook those familiar feelings of family, friends, and home into every meal I dish up and pass to you while catching up on the village news.
